Stronger than before!

Alarm ringing in the background*

Woke up at 645am on a lovey Saturday morning to get ready for another fun yet tiring netball session with the kids from SK Taman Megah. Man, come to think of it I do miss those little mischievous energizer creatures, they would never run out of energy.

And so my day begins,
we(11 of us from telecommunication engineering) arrived at SK Taman Megah at roughly 745am, earlier than our arranged time, 800am. We then took the opportunity to grab some food before another hectic day starts. At sharp 800am, the students in their jerseys, gather around the netball court for some short briefing before commencing training. We could all see that the students brought their 'game face' and we know it's about to go down!

True enough, after warm up the students immediately got into position as how we placed them last week. I mean, we were impressed by how they reacted, it was pure professional athleticism. They then got down with their training, passing, shooting, defense, attack etc. The one thing that got to us most this week was that, their attitude towards the training have totally changed. They were discipline, determined, accurate and most importantly, focus. On the first week of training netball with this bunch, it was just messy. It was unorganized, no one was paying attention, even the facilitators themselves were blur. However, this week was just amazing. Drastic changes were seen, which made everything so much more smoother.

Training was split into two sessions, one from 800am- 10am and the other at 1030am-1pm. At 10am we distributed 'nasi lemak' to the students as well as to the facilitators, training resumed half an hour later. During the first session, I was just walking around to make sure no one was hurt or to give out bottled water, nothing much. At the second training session tho, I joined in the fun with the tiny students. We facilitators then had a friendly match with them which we totally got annihilated. haha. It makes so much sense why they are chosen to represent their school and not us.

At 1pm, we started cleaning and clearing the courts, picking up litters and empty bottled water. We said our goodbyes to the students and departed back to University of Malaya at 130pm. As soon as everyone got up the car, I dozed off all the back.

All in all, I was very happy and delighted to see the changes in how the students performed at the court this week. This made me realize how much we can do to help make one's life better even if it's just training in netball.

That's all from me tonight. Peace and love to you'll out there.
